Due to the low thermal conductivity of fiberglass products, their insulation performance is particularly good.

During use, it will not scale, rust, or be contaminated or infested by microorganisms such as shellfish and fungi in the ocean or sewage.
[Less interfaces, high installation efficiency]
The length of the pipeline is generally 6-12m per piece (special length pipelines can also be produced according to customer requirements). A single pipeline is long and has fewer interfaces, which accelerates installation speed, reduces failure probability, and improves the installation quality of the entire pipeline.
Small specific gravity and light weight
The sand filled fiberglass steel pipe produced by fiber winding has a specific gravity of 1.65-2.0, which is only 1/4 of steel. However, the circumferential tensile strength of fiberglass steel pipe is 180-300MPa, and the axial tensile strength is 60-150MPa, which is similar to alloy steel. Therefore, its specific strength (strength/specific gravity) is 2-3 times that of alloy steel, so it can be designed to meet various internal and external pressure requirements of pipelines according to different user requirements. For single weight pipes with the same diameter, FRPM pipes only have 1/2.5 of carbon steel pipes (steel plate coils), 1/3.5 of cast iron pipes, and about 1/8 of prestressed reinforced cement pipes, making transportation and installation very convenient.
Good mechanical performance and excellent insulation performance
The tensile strength of pipelines is lower than that of steel, higher than that of ductile iron pipes and concrete pipes, and the specific strength is about 3 times that of steel pipes, 10 times that of ductile iron pipes, and 25 times that of concrete pipes. In addition, its thermal conductivity is only 1% of that of steel pipes, and it has excellent insulation properties, making it suitable for use in densely populated areas of power transmission and telecommunications lines, as well as areas with frequent lightning strikes.
